Using a basic recipe provided by the Diocese, these volunteers bake Communion bread for all Masses and special liturgies (such as funerals and weddings) on a rotating schedule. Bread bakers must participate in a half-hour training session, then bake once in a four to six week cycle. Call Kay Dunegan, (702) 362-8490
Volunteers help with decorating our worship space prior to each liturgical season and for special liturgies throughout the year. This helps to establish a prayerful environment through the use of seasonal plants, flowers, drapes, flags and other decor. EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist denotes someone who assists the priest in administering communion. If you are interested in sharing in this special ministry, you must be a confirmed Catholic and registered at Christ the King. Special training sessions are provided throughout the year, as needed, for new ministers. Service will be on a team, alternating weeks. Call Luanne Wagner, (702) 279-2137
Our hospitality ministers greet parishioners, distribute worship aids and bulletins, act as ushers, tidy the church between masses and take responsibility for the collected money and food donations after the mass has ended. Call Teresa Fawley, (702) 953-6332
Our lectors bring the living Word of God to the liturgical assembly. In and through them God speaks to the gathered faithful. Those who have a gift and desire to “proclaim God’s Word” might want to consider this ministry. Our lectors meet during the week before they are to read to discuss the readings. MARTHA AND MARY GUILD
Volunteers are asked to wash and press the liturgical linens on a rotating basis, serving once every 8 to 10 weeks. Call Suzy Jones, (702) 340-8148
Coordinators are responsible for making sure each liturgical minister has arrived for the liturgy. He/she is also aware of any special instructions pertaining to a particular liturgy. This particular service is done at one Mass every other week. Call Mary Ryan, (702) 871-1904
The Music ministry here at Christ the King is an integral part of our worship. There are many opportunities for people of all ages to serve as singers or instrumentalists at our weekend liturgies as well as funerals, weddings and other special services throughout the year. Those who would like to share their gift for music are asked to consider being part of this special ministry. An ability to read music is helpful but not necessary.

TABLE SETTING COORDINATORS
